The Norfolk MWR & USO are doing an outstanding job with their Summer Concerts this year. This is their 14th year in doing them. Last month we went to see REO Speedwagon (one of my absolute favorites) and last night we were able to see Trace Adkins! The best thing about these concerts - they are free! Trace was kind enough to spend 2 hours signing autographs and meeting fans at the Little Creek Amphib Base NEX. Tyler, Alyssa and I decided to brave the crowds and see if we could get in on that ~ and we did! Really nice guy. You get what you see.
The concert was great. He's quite the showman! I have to say I think it's one of the best concerts I've been too and definitely one of the best outdoor concerts. His light show was wonderful! He's very down to earth and just plays good music. I was impressed that he wore an AmphibFleet tee shirt (I believe you can buy them at the NEX) Here's a a few of my favorites from the concert.
